Hi, I’m Megan!
In 2013 I convinced my husband Luke to move next door (yes, literally, one house over) from our one-bedroom apartment into our current home – a two-story Victorian duplex built in the 1880s. Despite it still being a rental I giddily got to work transforming it into a space befitting my penchant for bold color, layered patterns, and estate sale goodies. Armed with a lot of gumption and questionable over-confidence in my “hey, I could make that!” DIY skills, I started this blog as a means to document the process.
Equal parts art-project and haven, it’s undergone many design experiments over the years (some failed, others still withstanding). Ultimately, it’s been my primary outlet for creative expression.
Chronicling my homemaking efforts has awarded me the unforeseen privilege of decorating spaces for clients. What started as a few friends enlisting my help on their own projects has grown into a small (but mighty!) rotation of friends of friends, distant acquaintances, and even the occasional long-distance cold email (thanks Instagram!). It’s a business sustained completely by word of mouth and repeat customers, and I’m humbled and really grateful!
I’m passionate about creating beautiful spaces on moderate budgets – always tailored to my clients’ unique stories and experiences. I’d love to help you tell yours!
Or, if you'd just like to follow along, welcome!
